We used to have a coach who compared a floorball-season with the journey of a sailing ship: You start to train a crew where everyone has his own position and the other entire crew exactly know that this special task will be done perfectly! Exactly in the same way as they also do their own special tasks! It is a lot of trust in each other and you know: Together we move this big ship!

 But he also used to say that every sailing ship will be (sooner or later) forced to face a terrible storm (haha, every team playing against us will be for SURE in this situation J ). And in this time there may be some crew-members getting seasick and will, due to this, no longer be able to full fill their task (because you can’t when you are vomiting over the railing…). And in this situation it is important that the crew stands together. That everyone is willing to do a little bit more. And that everyone still believes in each other! Because when you are not doing this the sails will crash and the ship will be stuck in the endless ocean and there will be absolutely no way to continue with the journey… And then you are lost!

 The Kumla ship may be at the moment in a storm. We have some members who are a little bit seasick and who are vomiting over the railing… But this you have to believe me: I have been on a whole bunch of sailing ships during the last 26 years. But I have never seen a crew who is as good as the Kumla crew to replace crew-members! (My thoughts on Monday, written in my blog: hier bereits die beste Erkenntnis des Tages: Die Mannschaft von Kumla ist so gut besetzt, dass wir 50% der Verteidiger (verletzt, krank und in Bosnien), 2 Angreifer (krank und verletzt) sowie 1 Torhüter Zuhause lassen können und trotzdem immer noch über eine konkurrenzfähige Mannschaft verfügen! Und bei diesen Spielerinnen handelt es sich nicht um Ergänzungsspielerinnen oder so. Ich denke, dass dies nicht jede Mannschaft verkraften könnte.)

I still believe in our ship, in our crew and that we will be able to bring this journey to the end we imagined in Asa! We have to fight and stand together! This team is fucking great! And I enjoy every minute of our trip together!
